2025 Nature Week celebrations presentaions
**Anguilla National Trust Nature Week** brought the island’s unique wildlife and conservation efforts into sharp focus, ending with a series of presentations highlighting cutting‑edge research aimed at better understanding and protecting Anguilla’s extraordinary biodiversity. Speakers shared updates on ongoing work with some of the island’s most remarkable species—from endangered reptiles to understudied moths and insects, and even the often‑misunderstood sharks that patrol our waters. Together, the events offered something for everyone, blending exploration, science, and community engagement into a week that celebrated both curiosity and conservation. The Anguilla National Trust express deep gratitude to all who participated, as well as to the partners whose expertise and collaboration made the week possible: Dr. David Roy and Dr. Helen Roy of the UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology, and Dr. Matthew Witt of the University of Exeter – International. Special thanks were also extended to the UK Government’s Biodiversity Challenge Funds (Darwin Plus Initiative) and Flora & Fauna’s Conservation Leadership Programme for their sponsorship and continued support.
